Two years ago the Fiorentini Administration set out to go
the extra mile to bring new manufacturing jobs to our city. As a result,
we became the first city in the State to get a grant for expedited permitting;
we were the first city in the State to be designated as a growth district
by Governor Patrick.

with a very long American history, which has been making Brooks Brothers clothes
for about sixty years, was on the verge of closing last summer. But the parent
company, Brooks Brothers Retail-Alliance purchased the company and financed some
ten million dollars in new equipment. Haverhill Mayor, Jim Fiorentini, ... persuaded
the company to keep the factory right here."
